Dixie
Plumbing Service, Inc. was incorporated on May 26, 1971 by its owner
and president, Albert C. Korelishn.
We are currently serving the South Florida region from north of
Palm Beach County to Broward and Dade Counties.
We specialize in commercial warehouses, car dealerships,
restaurants, and homes. Our
gross sales include approximately 97% in commercial and residential
new construction and remodeling.
Service calls make up our other 3% of sales.
Our organization consists of twenty employees with two plumbers
dedicated for repair and service.
Many of our plumbers have been employed with us since the
benchmark of our corporation.
We
own and operate all of our vehicles and equipments including: a Case
580 Tractor, an IHI Midsize Track-Hoe, two smaller excavators, and 3
high lifts. All of our
vehicles and equipment are maintained on a regular basis.
We are fully licensed and insured.

After
his honorable discharge, Mr. Korelishn entered the private business
sector in December of 1968. He
formed Broward Water Heater Company, in Fort Lauderdale, FL. as a
sales and service company dealing in residential and commercial water
heater sales and installations. He
then expanded into the plumbing industry, and under the name of Dixie
plumbing Service, Inc. he has directed operations from the same
location in Fort Lauderdale since 1972. Mr. Korelishn first qualified as a Master Plumber in 1970,
after successfully completing the necessary criteria, and then
attained his state certification the first year such an examination
and classification was available.
This enables Dixie Plumbing Service, Inc. to operate throughout
the State of Florida, although most of the firm’s work is
concentrated in Broward, Dade, and Palm Beach Counties.
Dixie
Plumbing Service, Inc. has had an annual sales volume of two millions
dollars the past several years. It
has grown from two employees at its inception to its current staff of
twenty employees and maintains a complete fleet of utility trucks,
backhoes, and utilizes the latest in laser technology for accurate, up
to date fieldwork.
Mr.
Korelishn was selected and appointed as a member of the Broward County
Board of Rules and Appeals in 1980, and is currently serving eight of
eight consecutive three year terms.
He also sits on the advisory board of two technical committees
and is the chairman of The Probable Cause Committee in Broward County,
and sits on the South Florida Plumbing Committee in Miami, Florida.
Mr. Korelishn served as Chairman of the Board in 1994.
Mr.
Korelishn has been an active member of the Broward County Chapter of
the NAPHCC (National Association of Plumbing Heating and Cooling
Contractors) since 1976. He
was the former President of the organization for one term, and a
former Director for three terms.

In
1985 Mr. Korelishn was selected as a member of the Broward Sheriff’s
“ Posse Committee,” a group organized to promote community
involvement within the Sheriff’s office, as well as assisting
officers in non-law enforcement function, and availing themselves
where and when needed with the special skills for which they were
chosen. Mr. Korelishn was
selected for his knowledge and expertise within the aviation field.
Family:
Albert
C. Korelishn married Elizabeth Mulcahey in 1980, and they have two
beautiful children Kyle and Amelia.
They reside in Pompano Beach where Mr. Korelishn has made his
home since 1974. They are
members of nearby Saint Coleman Catholic Church, in Pompano Beach. |
